Join the York Region Community Choir for an uplifting and entertaining afternoon of music and song at its On With The Show performance June 8.  

The concert runs 2 to 4 p.m. at Trinity Anglican Church, 79 Victoria St. in Aurora. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Choir wraps up 20th season
Tapestry Chamber Choir’s 20th season wraps up with a gala anniversary concert June 8, featuring former members of the choir.

The program starts at 3 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newmarket and will include favourites from the past two decades, as well as the world premiere of There Will be Thrushes by Canadian composer Imant Raminsh.

Release butterflies for loved ones
Bereaved Families of York Region hosts its 2008 Butterfly Release July 5 at Bruce’s Mill, starting at 10 a.m.

The event will feature songs, inspirational readings and will end with a group release of butterflies.
Cost of a butterfly is $35.
