Last week — Sunday — Won 4-2 at Milton IceHawks ... Friday — Won 4-2 vs. Dixie Beehives ... Wednesday — Won 4-3 (SO) at North York Rangers ... Tuesday — Won 3-2 (OT) at Collingwood Blues.

Coming Up — Friday vs. Streetsville Derbys, Aurora Community Centre, 7:30 p.m. ... Saturday at Seguin Bruins.

Game Notes —  In Milton Nick Vangog and Cody Smith scored third period goals to break up a 2-2 draw. David Morley and Tim Revell had the other Aurora goals. Aurora went 3-for-7 on the power play ... Against Dixie, Mike Bodley’s second power-play goal of the game stood up as the game-winner. Bodley a 19-year-old from Barrie, was named first star. Michael Sardella and Cody Smith netted the other goals for the Tigers who outshot Dixie 43-22 ... At North York, Dominic Monardo and David Morley scored in a shootout and Brendan Sullivan blocked both shots he faced as the Tigers edged the Rangers. Monardo, Thomas Evans and Brandon Happeney scored in regulation time for Aurora ... In Collingwood, Sardella scored twice, including the winner on the only shot of overtime, 1:18 in. Shots on net favoured the Tigers heavily again, 41-23.

The Skinny — Aurora won four games in six days during the last week, all by one or two goals....The Tigers are in second place in the crowded Phillips Division, two points back of surprising Orangeville, with a game in hand. Five teams are within five points of the division lead.

Say It — “We’d be 10-0 if we played every period like we did the third tonight,” new assistant coach John Duncan said on
auroratigers.com after his Tigers allowed only three shots during the final period Friday.  “Good defence wins championships.” After Sunday’s game, head coach Jerome Dupont was only happy with the first and third periods. “We are still looking for a whole game of solid play from our team,” he said.  “If ever we put together 60 minutes, the sky’s the limit.”

Record — 9-2.
