Thanksgiving festivities are getting an early start in Aurora today.

The inaugural Colours of Fall Concert sets the tone for the long weekend with an evening filled with pumpkin carving, fiddling, food and a whole lot of fun.

The concert serves as a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the fall colours while saying goodbye to summer, Mayor Phyllis Morris said.

“Fall is a beautiful season, filled with a burst of vibrant colours and changing scenery,” Mrs. Morris said.
“I encourage residents and visitors to come out and enjoy the amazing entertainment and fun activities; it will be a great start to the Thanksgiving weekend.”

Apart from the live entertainment being showcased at the concert, there will also be an old-fashioned community corn roast.

A small fee will be charged for the corn roast and the town will collect non-perishable donations for the food bank.
