Groundbreaking for the Pefferlaw ice pad is scheduled to take place in August, right after the Pefferlaw Picnic. This means that Georgina residents will have a new skating rink this winter.
The PIP fundraising committee has some exciting events planned and is looking for enthusiastic individuals who would like to have fun doing something great for their community, said spokesperson Megan Keith.
There will be a golf tournament, street party and a new year’s dance, along with many other smaller events.
Those who wish to help by joining the committee or who can donate prizes, are asked to contact Megan Keith at 705-437-4409.
