Last year, Georgina offered a one-of-a-kind event in the early fall, The Mind, Body and Soul Expo.
Seeing it was highly successful and brought attendees from all over the Greater Toronto Area, the founding partners have decided to bring it back for a second year.
This year’s Mind, Body and Soul Expo will be held on the weekend of July 19 and 20 at the Sutton Fairgrounds.
The event has been expanded to showcase vendors such as local psychics, massage therapists, candle and soap makers, chiropractors, fitness centres, animal communicators, Feng Shui consultants, alternative medical centres and various other organizations that serve to benefit the mind, body or soul.
Attendees will be able to receive a massage, shop for all natural gift items, learn more about a chosen practice or healing method and really take in all that York Region has to offer, said Ariane Griffiths of the Foundation Studio, one of the organizers.
An increasing number of consumers are choosing natural and alternative methods in place of traditional healing — for themselves, their family and even their pets and the workplace. Attendees can expect to find resources and service providers to help fulfill all of these choices, she said.
Admission to the expo is $2, with proceeds being donated to the Georgina Community Food Pantry. It runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
