Meghan Allum put in a little overtime at the Royal Woodbine Golf Club links in Etobicoke during last week’s Canadian Junior Golf Association’s Adams Golf Junior Classic.

And it paid off for the 16-year-old Markham resident, who won the girls division of the two-day competition.

Carding a two-round, 24-over par 166 (92-74), Allum tied with Adrienne D’Alessio, 13, of Woodbridge at the end of the 36-hole competition.

A Grade 12 Markham District High School student, Allum won the event on the first playoff hole.
