Carlos Robles recorded a third-place finish after cycling, running and swimming his way around a course at the recent Orillia Triathlon and Duathlon.

The 29-year-old Markham resident negotiated the course in the Lake Couchiching region in a time of 1:32:26.

Robles was three minutes behind the pace set by winner Ryan Smith of Sudbury, who was first to cross the finish line in 1:29:03.

Close to 700 athletes took part in the event.
