Newmarket resident Jim Hamilton defended his title in the senior men’s totally blind category at the Ontario Visually Impaired Golf provincial championships held at Chippewa Creek Golf & Country Club near Mount Hope.

Hamilton, 62, carded an 86 net to win the title for the second straight year.

A week earlier, the Newmarket resident finished third in the B1 category at the British Open in Belfast, Ireland.

Hamilton is also in the field for the 2008 Canadian Open Blind Golf Championship to be held Sept. 8 to 10 at Cambridge Golf Club.
