The Lance Krasman Centre in Richmond Hill requires a volunteer, 18 years or older, with previous mental health experience (either being a survivor or a counsellor) to take on the role of a knitting instructor, an art teacher, a bingo volunteer or a peer support worker for someone who is currently affected by mental health issues.
The Forgotten Ones Cat Rescue and Adoption Inc. needs an animal attendant age 16+ to provide care to cats and kittens housed in a local pet store in Richmond Hill.
CARD–Community Association for the Riding for the Disabled (Toronto) needs volunteers, 13 years of age or older, to help maintain and clean the stable area and tack room, groom horses and do some minor repairs around the building.
Trillium Childhood Cancer Support Centre needs of mature volunteer camp counsellors for overnight camps in various parts of Ontario.
The Mariann Home in Richmond Hill needs volunteers, 15 years of age or older, to assist in scrabble games, visits, special events and feeding and reading to residents. Volunteers who can speak Arabic, Cantonese, Farsi or Italian are encouraged to apply.
Community Link York South needs individual support persons to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in journal writing. Administrative volunteers are also in need at this centre.
