The awards keep coming in for Stefan Della Rovere.

Earlier in the week, the Richmond Hill native and Barrie Colts’ forward was named the Ontario Hockey League’s Player of the Week.

Now, the Colts’  captain can also add Canadian Hockey League Player of the Week honours to his resume.

A seventh round draft pick of the Washington Capitals in the 2008 NHL entry draft, Della Rovere earned the award after scoring four goals and three assists in his last two games.

A resident of Maple, Della Rovere scored a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds last Thursday in Barrie.  

Last Saturday, he had a five-point night, including his first OHL career hat-trick, in a big 7-2 upset win over the top-ranked Windsor Spitfires earning first star of the game honours.

Della Rovere is in his third season OHL season with the Colts.
