Two-time Olympic medallist Karen Cockburn continued an impressive comeback from knee surgery with a victory Sunday at the All Canada Olympic selection competition in trampoline in Terrebonne, Que.
The Stouffville resident scored 107.5 points with world championship medallist Rosannagh MacLennan of King City second at 101.3.
Cockburn also won the first Olympic selection event last month in Kamloops, B.C.
“I came close to some of my highest scores in my career,” she said. “I was really happy with it. I increased my degree of difficulty from the last competition and that was a really good test for an upcoming World Cup event as well.”
The competition is the second of three domestic events in the Olympic selection process.
The third event in the process is the Canadian championships June 2 to 7 in Calgary.
