Three youths were recognized by Markham politicians for their swimming achievements in provincial, national and international competitions.

Matthew Li and Brendon Voumakis were recognized for winning the 2007 Silver Dolphin Award for local and provincial aquatic accomplishments.

Ben Stubbs received recognition after winning a Silver Dolphin Award for national and international aquatic achievement.
