Summer concert series

If you’re wondering what to do on a warm summer night, now there’s an opportunity to enjoy a concert in the park.

Vaughan is celebrating its 14th annual series of summer concerts, which kicked off in June with Lou Nelson performing Tom Jones’s music.

Sponsored by Canada Trust and Tim Hortons, the concert series continues next week and runs to mid-August.

The dates of upcoming concerts are:

Tuesday July 8
Dufferin District Park — featuring Abbamania, the magic and music of Abba at 1441 Clark Ave. West, Thornhill at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday July 22
Woodbridge Expansion Area District Park — featuring Simply the Best, a tribute to Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Donna Summer and Martha Reeves. It’s at 100 Sunset Ridge, Woodbridge at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday July 29
Mackenzie Glen District Park — featuring Spice, a tribute to the Spice Girls at 220 Cranston Park Ave. in Maple at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday Aug. 12
York Hill District Park — featuring Roy LeBlanc as Elvis at 501 Clark Ave. W. in Thornhill at 7:30 p.m.
