Police comb Concord crescent; victim in surgery

A man was in surgery Sunday morning after being shot in Vaughan late Saturday.
York Regional Police officers, responding to a report of gunshots and a man screaming, found a man who had been shot lying between two houses on Unity Crescent just before midnight. He was transported to hospital where was operated on Sunday morning. He was listed in stable condition.
The area, in the Dufferin Street and Glen Shields Avenue neighbourhood of Concord, was cordoned off. An initial search turned up a shell casing. Forensic identification officers are working the scene.
Police have no information on suspects.
