A youth received an unwelcome surprise from his girlfriend last Sunday.

At about 10 p.m., he was led to a quiet court in Bradford to meet with her.

When he arrived, another boy confronted him and punched him in the face.

The assailant left the scene with the girl.

The victim went to Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket and received treatment for his injuries.

South Simcoe Police found the attacker.

A Bradford male, 17, is charged with assault causing bodily harm.
