A dispatcher at Town Taxi in Bradford was assaulted during the early morning hours yesterday.
The dispatcher received a call from an irate man demanding a taxi come to his location immediately.
The dispatcher said the taxi would be available in five to 10 minutes.
Several minutes later, the man showed up at the Town Taxi office and began yelling at the dispatcher.
The man grabbed the dispatcher around the neck and forced him against a wall, making threatening comments.
The attacker then left the office.
The victim, who knew the attacker, received scratches to his upper chest and elbow.
South Simcoe Police received the call about the incident just before 3 a.m. yesterday.
They contacted the suspect and told him to come to the station.
The man surrendered himself to police Sunday evening.
A Bradford man, 48, is charged with threatening and assault.
