Tickets on sale for Canes charity game

Tickets for the Hurricanes For Life benefit game between Newmarket and the Couchiching Terriers Dec. 27 are available at the Ray Twinney Complex box office game days.

The game will honour the memories of former players Kevin Lord, who died of cancer two years ago, K.J. Ramolla, killed in a car accident in July, and Josh Sedore, the son of Hurricanes assistant coach Steve Sedore, who also passed away in July.

Ramolla also played for the Terriers, while Sedore is a former assistant coach with the team.

Proceeds from the match go to the Southlake Regional Health Centre, K.J. Ramolla Memorial Hockey Trust Fund and Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

The Hurricanes have raised nearly $40,000 in two previous charity matches.

Tickets are $10 each.
