What do sales, insider information and face painting have in common?
They’re all apart of the annual Moonlight Madness and Inside Whitchurch-Stouffville Information Fair, hosted by the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and the Business Improvement Area.
This year’s event is in downtown Stouffville tonight from 7 to 10 p.m.
The inside information fair has run in conjunction with the Moonlight Madness event for two years, and organizers are hoping for another successful event.
Booths will be set up in Civic Square.
“The weather should be great, and we hope it’s going to be a pretty good turnout,” said Andrew Brouwer, the town’s deputy clerk. Around 200 people came to check out the fair last year.
About 30 groups are signed up to participate in the fair, which provides information on the various services groups, sports organizations, and community organizations residents can get involved with.
Some of the participants in the fair include Music Mania, Richardson Masonic Lodge, Nineteen on the Park, and the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum.
The event is geared to all residents.
“This is a good initiative for new residents coming into the town to find out what’s going on and how they can get involved,” Mr. Brouder said.
The fair benefits residents who want to get involved and helps create a network among the organizations themselves, he said.
In addition to the information fair, the event also boasts face painting, a bouncing castle, sidewalk sales, live music and free ice cream cones for anyone wearing pyjamas.
Lighting and seating will be provided by the town.
